Incriminating video evidence showing the horrific attack which led to the murder of Welcome Estate dad Andre Doralingo has surfaced as his alleged killers have been granted R500 bail.
Days after the family fight which saw cops arrest one man at the scene in Rembrandt Street, the footage, which has gone viral on social media, has shed a light on the viciousness of the attack.
At the time Manenberg police explained that the 52-year-old dad was accused of attacking his sister by hitting her in the face with a brick and smashing the windows of her car.
This led her boyfriend named Mark Bartie along with her two daughters to retaliate.
In the footage, Bartie is seen holding Doralingo down while two females repeatedly smack and kick him. Bartie continually threatens him.
"M**r hom. Kom jou n**i," he says as he drags Doralingo down the street.
In a second video he is heard asking one of the women to bring a brick so he can hit Doralingo. A teen meisie wearing a hair bonnet arrives and smacks Doralingo in the face and says: "There is f****l name of yours on this house."
Doralingo’s grieving son, Gurshwin, says the family was only called to the scene on Wednesday night after 10pm.
He says on arrival: "The relatives found that the scene had been cleared and they were informed at the police station that his father was killed by his sister’s boyfriend.
Gurshwin explains they were shocked to learn that the killers had been released on R500 bail.
"We will never know what the argument was about because we were not there. We were not informed that two people had been charged or that they had been released on R500 bail.
"We do make excuses for him attacking his sister but there were legal ways to address this and not go this far to murder him. We were not informed of any progress of the case and when we call the station we are told the detective will call us back but he never did.
"This conflict goes very deep because the sister he fought with was married to a man who raped one of the girls in our family many years ago. She hid her husband from the police but they got him and her husband is now serving an 18-year sentence in prison."
Bartie confirms he appeared alongside a woman in the Athlone Magistrate Court on murder charges on Friday and was released on R500 bail.
He declined to comment on the incident but threatened to sue social media users who posted the video evidence.
"I will sue the Daily Voice and the people who posted on social media because my detective told me I have a right to sue. If you put this in the Daily Voice I will sue."
