Police have arrested two men in connection with the murder of a Stellenbosch wine farmer in 2019.
SAPS’ André Traut said detectives were led to the residences of three suspects in Bellville South, Milnerton and Wynberg.
Two were detained yesterday, but a third person, a woman, ran away.
Stefan Smit, 62, was shot dead in front of his wife on his Louiesenhof Farm by intruders on 2 June 2019.
The two men, aged 50 and 56, are expected to appear in the Stellenbosch Magistrates’ Court today.
Louisenhof was the scene of a land invasion that made headlines in 2018 when residents of Kayamandi erected shacks on the property.
