This follows a murder in broad daylight on Gouritz Road on Wednesday, with crime fighters warning that the area’s violence is spiralling out of control.

According to reports, a 40-year-old man was gunned down in the road by two assailants while talking to a woman.

“On arrival at the scene of the crime, they found the body of a male lying on his back on the pavement.

Govind adds: “The area is very volatile also in the sense that we got the stone throwing still going on and the shootings that are happening, it is a never-ending story.”

Meanwhile in Woodstock, cops arrested a man following a shooting incident that happened on Tuesday in Beyers Road.
