More than five days have passed since 20-year-old Chad Cole was last seen by his family and friends.
Cole was last seen when he left his home in Silversands, Bluedowns after feeding his dogs.
His mother Sandra Engelbrecht says on Friday around 1pm Cole fed his dogs and told his father he was just stepping outside.
She says they fear for his safety because he never got into any trouble as he spent most of his time at home.
“My child was a very quiet boy who did not involve himself in any wrong doings,” she says.
SEARCH: Chad Cole
Sandra says it has been more than four days now since her son went missing and it is very worrying for her because this has never happened before.
Cole was last seen wearing a grey top and jeans.
Cole’s cousin Shana Petersen says they tried calling his cellphone all weekend until it eventually went off on Sunday.
Shana says they are very anxious because Cole never even sleeps over at friends’ homes.
She added that because of the kind of person he is they believe he may be a victim of crime.
Police spokesperson FC van Wyk confirms a missing person report was registered on Saturday at Mfuleni police station for investigation.
He said the search for Cole continues and anyone with any information about his whereabouts is requested to contact crime stop on 08600 10111 or Mfuleni police station.
