Couple in court for 'killing their daughter'

A couple accused of killing their three-year-old daughter briefly appeared in the Brits Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
Louisa Koekemoer and her husband Kobus Koekemoer are charged with the murder of Poppie van Der Merwe.
Kobus Koekemoer, Poppie’s stepfather, allegedly kicked her to death at a farm in Mamogaleskraal near Brits on October 25, last year, she died on arrival at hospital.
He was arrested and Louisa was arrested in December 15 last year, after the police questioned people associated with the couple.
Their case was postponed to February 21 pending further investigations.
