The learners of Phoenix High School stepped out in fine style and swag on Thursday evening, as neighbours of Greatfish Avenue lined up the street to cheer them on.
Justin Williams, Chante Kleinsmith, Rudi Makwana, Kamila Newman, Stephan Isaacs, Subeid Williams and Saabir Adams seemed to enjoy the spotlight as they paraded the street for everyone to catch a glimpse of their extravagant dresses and suits, not forgetting the kwaai cars that pulled up to take them to the ball.

The event then turned into a block party as residents blocked off the road and turned up the music to allow their proud matrics to model for the residents.
Matriculant Justin Williams, 19, said he was proud to see his friends all reach this important moment in their lives.
“This doesn’t happen everyday, we want to celebrate our schooling career and make our community proud,” he says.
