Grassy Park police are applauding Parkwood residents who stopped a burglary at a school just days before schools reopen for the third term on Tuesday.
The suspect was spotted jumping over the Parkwood Primary School fence on Saturday, presumably to break in, but saw his gat when cops caught him red-handed, says Grassy Park Station Commander, Colonel Dawood Laing.
A resident, who asked not to be named for fear of safety, says residents are gatvol of skelms and skollies making their lives miserable and are claiming back their community.

“We had enough of these gemorste taking over our community and, as residents, we have vowed to stop this k@k before it happens,” says the resident.
“This vark is an ou skelm and thought no one saw him as he was getting over that fence.
“The blerrie nerve. School starts on Tuesday and our children must sit with what then?”
School skelm learns his lesson.
The resident said police were called immediately and caught the suspect before
he could do any damage at
the school.
“Mense called Grassy Park police and watched as they caught him. Die dinge moet end kry (this thing has to end).
“We had enough of our children suffering and living in fear.
“Education is their ticket out of here and we will be damned if these varke are going to mess with that,” the angry resident says.
Colonel Laing confirms the suspect was arrested.
Colonel Laing confirms the suspect has been arrested and is facing housebreaking charges.
“I can confirm a suspect was arrested for attempting to break into the school,” he said.
“I believe it was the community that notified SAPS and the suspect faces a charge of attempted housebreaking,” Laing said.
He praised residents for calling the police immediately: “If communities and police work together, we can stop these incidents, especially those that affect our education system.
“We cannot allow anyone to steal from schools because they are stealing our future.”
