A Hanover Park skollie may lose part of his manhood after being shot in the left testicle on Friday.
Shortly after 9pm, Philippi police raced to Galilee Walk following a report of two gunmen opening fire on an alleged member of the Americans gang who was rushed to the Heideveld Emergency Centre.
At the hospital, officers found the bleeding 23-year-old man screaming in agony as a doctor counted the gunshot wounds, revealing that a bullet had penetrated his left testicle.

Wakker officers followed up on tip-offs and arrested a 19-year-old man who they say is a well-known hitman for the Mongrels gang.
Meanwhile, the victim was taken to Groote Schuur Hospital for further treatment.
Two Hanover Park oumas were also among those arrested in a crime crackdown by Philippi police over the weekend.
Skollies and druggies were uitgeskut as various police units descended on the Cape Flats suburb, which has been wracked by gang violence.

Following complaints about an illegal shebeen, police raided a property known as “Sara se Huis” and found a 57-year-old woman pouring cheap dop into smaller bottles.
This wine was sold for just R9 for two litres and officers say it causes major problems.
“This is that cheap kraanwyn. They call it Simply the Best and it is a quick charge. It makes mense dronk fast and then they want to karate each other and that results in assault cases,” an officer explains.
During the search, officers also confiscated several cases of beer and the woman was arrested for the illegal sale of alcohol.
Later in the evening a second ouma was arrested in Johndown Walk for being in possession of 100 mandrax tablets worth about R6 000.
“Meneer, ek het dit opgetel. Dit is nie myne nie,” the woman insisted, but officers were not convinced.
She claimed she had picked up the drugs several hours earlier and failed to report it to police. She was arrested and charged with drug possession.

A search of an alleged gang house in Rywood Road attracted lots of attention when a 16-year-old girl was found in possession of 21 dagga stoppe.
The teen was found in the house with members of the Ghetto Kidz gang.
Her mother and sister were alerted by the community of her arrest.
“Wat soek jy met die mense? Ons is nie mense wat met gangsters worry nie. Nou gaan jy tronk toe vir die,” her angry sister shouted at her.
The family reveals the girl had been sent to live with her ouma in Retreat to keep her away from skollies, but sneaks back to visit them over weekends.
