A bloody gang war between the Terrible Josters and the Firm in Valhalla Park claimed its latest three victims on Sunday.
Just after 3pm, multiple shots rang out in Agnes Street and two people, aged 17 and 23 years old, were shot and injured in a drive-by shooting.
One of the victims were shot through the arm and the other in the buttocks.
They were rushed to the nearest hospital for medical attention.
One of the victims is believed to be the nephew of Colin Stanfield, the alleged underworld kingpin who died of cancer in 2004.
The car used in the drive-by shooting was orange in colour, but no one could say what make or model it was.
Later that same day, another person only known as ‘Snotty’ who collects scrap was shot in Louise Street. It is not clear whether he survived the shooting.
According to a source in the area, Snotty was just ‘skarreling’ as usual.
“He was just a guy who used to collect scrap to make money. He is not a gangster at all. I don’t know why he was shot,” the source explains.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana, confirmed the first shooting incident only.
“A shooting incident occurred on Sunday at 3.20pm in Agnes Street in Valhalla Park where two male victims, aged 17 and 23 years old, were shot and wounded. Both victims were taken to nearby hospitals for medical treatment.
“Attempted murder cases were opened for investigation with no arrests at this stage,” Rwexana said.
