Two vehicles belonging to an alleged drug kingpin and gang leader Fadwaan “Vet” Murphy were seized by the Assets
Forfeiture Unit (AFU) last week after a two-year search.
Two years ago, the AFU seized five of Murphy’s homes and a truck load of furniture as well as six other luxury vehicles in Strand, Lentegeur, Parklands and Athlone.
Last week, cops together with AFU traced the missing Honda and Golf to a panel shop in
Athlone Industria.
The AFU has said if Murphy is found guilty in a court of law, all his assets will be sold.

Murphy, 44, who is worth R53 million, as well as his ex-wife, Shafieka Murphy, 49, Dominique Davidson and Leon Paulsen are on trial at the Cape High Court, facing 229 charges including racketeering, money laundering and charges relating to the
Prevention of Organised Crime Act (POCA).
In September 2015, at Davidson’s house in Reindeer Street, Grassy Park, police confiscated R4 million in cash and drugs which included 7 985 packets of tik, 10 400 units of heroin and sealing machines.
The suspects were arrested in 2016 and are out on bail of R20 000.
Murphy has proclaimed his innocence, saying he is a businessman.
But the state alleges that the company, Ulterior Trading Solutions, is being used to launder millions of rands from the
proceeds of drug sales.
