A young community leader who was delivering bread to hungry families in Belhar was allegedly picked up and moered by a cop.
Kalib Missoe, 21, says he was beaten with a sjambok allegedly by a cop.
Kalib works with the Belhar Night Market feeding kids.
On Tuesday just before 8pm, Kalib says he was on his way home to Da Gama Street when a cop stopped next to him.
“He screamed: “ Wat soek jy f***** buite, f****f huis toe,” says Kalib.
Kalib says he has a permit, but was not given an opportunity to explain himself.

“I think he wanted me to run, but I walked, and he drove on and then he stopped and reversed and said “ jy f***** loep nog so.”
“He got out and started beating me all over my head with the sjambok handle and threw me into the van.”
Kalib says he managed to call his mother to bring his permit.
But instead of going to the cop shop, he says the cop later dumped him in gang territory.
“He drove to Extension 13 and chucked me out of the van and that is gang territory,” he says.
“I had to walk all the way home and there were gangsters roaming the street, I think he deliberately dumped me there.”
VICTIM: Young Kalib Missoe, 21
He has opened a case with police.
Johan Pietersen, who works with Kalib, says they are disappointed in the officer.
“We know the law must be upheld, but it was not necessary to treat him that way,” he says.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana confirmed the matter is being investigated by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate.
