A shocking video showing a teenage girl handing a gangster a gun during a shooting in Bonteheuwel has gone viral on social media.
The clip surfaced on Friday amid a bloody gang war between the Play Boyz and Hard Livings following the murder of pregnant mom Petula Williams, 28, and her unborn twins two days earlier.
Residents explain the mom of three, who was shot in the chest while sitting in front of her home in Terblans Road, was married to the leader of the Play Boyz gang and died in a hit meant for her husband.
The next day a group of angry women marched to the leader of the Hard Livings but were forced to flee after skollies pelted them with bricks and fired shots at them.
Clarence Petersen, 42, who was arrested over the weekend for the murder of Petula, appeared in the Bishop Lavis Magistrates’ Court on
Monday.
He did not apply for bail and the matter was postponed to 24 April for further investigations.
Residents say on Friday, the Play Boyz retaliated and part of the shootout was captured on a cellphone.
BLOODSHED: Bonteheuwel scene where a 40-year-old man was killed
In the short clip, a large group of people is seen running down Bonteheuwel Avenue towards HL territory.
A teen girl is then seen handing a gun to a gangster known as “Yusie Play Boy”, telling him: “ Hiesa, maak vol” (here, use this to kill someone).

A police officer who is less than a metre away from the two does not see the exchange happening right behind him.
The teen then claps her hands, seemingly cheering the man on as shots go off.
Later that evening, following another shooting, the army was called in to patrol the area.
Bonteheuwel Ward Councillor Angus McKenzie slammed the video saying residents must decide on whose side they are.

“It cannot be that the very people who are begging for peace are standing side by side with gangsters rather than against gangsters,” says a disgusted McKenzie.
