THE Kleinvlei vrou who was shot dead near Blue Downs police station was killed in a gang hit gone wrong.
According to Daily Voice sources, Edmincha Wildebees, 25, known as Netta, was allegedly involved with the Horribles gang, operating around Kleinvlei and was set to appear at the Blue Downs Magistrates Court.
Netta was shot on Monday as she sat in the backseat of a red VW Polo and it’s believed that the driver was the target.
Mfuleni Community Policing Forum (CPF) Chairperson France Mashaba told the Daily Voice that the board is aware of the incident and that Wildebees came from Kleinvlei police station following a drug-related incident and was expected to appear at the Blue Downs Magistrates Court.
Mashaba says: “We cannot support the way the incident happened because the problem was involving drugs and gangsters.
“We want to speak to whoever is in charge of the court because this is not the first incident that is happening. We need to know how can people who go to court get killed in front of court and how people can be protected.
“There is security inside, but not outside and this person was shot outside. And if people are scared to go to court, what is going to happen?
“I need to know and we need to have a meeting to try and ask the Department of Justice and SAPS to get more security outside, because it is unacceptable as it leads people to fear.”
The news about the shooting incident het gou versprei on social media, with mense saying that the incident either happened outside the Blue Downs police station or courthouse, however it was confirmed that it had occurred at the agterkant of the police station.
National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson Eric Ntabazalila says: “I can confirm that the incident did not happen at the premises of the court.
“It happened on the street behind the court and Mfuleni Police Station.
“We do not know the status of the woman...”
Kleinvlei Community Policing Forum (CPF) secretary Rosanne de Kock tells the Daily Voice: “The CPF has no information regarding the incident that happened yesterday other than what we have seen in social media...”
