He also performed in theatre musicals performing alongside comedian Marc Lottering, David Kramer, Basil Appollis and Lara Foot.
Of his move to the TV screen, TDV tells the Daily Voice: “I received an email to audition for Kelders van Geheime, that’s exactly what I did and got the role as Gershwin Solomons.
“My character portrays a strong independent boeta figure to his household however he is a sucker for love which makes him quite vulnerable to his childhood crush. Quite a complex character.
“I love my character, it’s someone I can definitely relate to in my personal life. We have so much in common, so it’s quite easy to tap into Gershwin.”

He adds: “This is my first R&B track, so I am excited to share this one. The motivation for this song is my girlfriend who I met after my divorce.
“I actually told myself perhaps love is not for me and that I’m over it like I’m never gonna fall in love again. But then I met her and it’s been so beautiful. I’m grateful.
