"The motive for the attack is believed to be gang-related and arrests are yet to be made.”
Public Relations Officer for the Community Policing Forum, Amanda Davids, said that the CPF condemns the shooting.
She explains: “The circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation so I cannot comment on that.
“What stood out for me about the shooting is that it happened on Youth Day. As a community we need to ask ourselves what is happening with our youth.
“We have too many youth who grow up without parenting so as a community we need to stand up and go back to ‘your child is my child’. Parents who know their children do wrong, stop hiding it.
“We started Youth Day with a murder scene in Kalksteenfontein and ended with four shot in Valhalla Park.
