He claims the door was kicked in by members in blue claiming they are looking for guns.

Cameron explained: “I work every day. We were asleep when they kicked in our front door and stormed into our place.

“They kept asking where the guns were, while beating me. I told them I am not involved in any guns, ek is ‘n werkende man and I have work the next day but they did not want to understand anything.

“I was never involved in any gangsterism, guns or anything. I go to work and back. My fiance was in her underwear and a male police officer stood in front of her watching her while she was getting dressed.

“They took pictures of my ID, scratched around and two officers held my two eldest daughters in a room while I was getting beaten up kaal bo-lyf in the kitchen by about five male officers.

“When we asked where is the lasbrief to come to our place, they couldn’t provide one. Not one officer had a name tag or rank board, all their faces were covered with buffs. They came like gangsters in my place, we are not sure if we should fear the gangsters or the police.”

Cloetesville gender-based violence and community activist, Felicity Roland, said she knows Cameron baie goed and he is a hardwerkende man who works for his family.

Roland said: “Cameron has never been involved in any gangsterism. We are unsure why they stormed his house.

“When I got the call that Cameron had been attacked I went to his house and found him lying on his stomach and I could see he was not breathing well. I phoned the ambulance and he went into shock and got koue kors.

“We threw a blanket over him. I phoned the Colonel and when I went to check where the ambulance was, I heard my son screaming and yelling in the road and saw one police officer beat my son with a gun in the face. It was terrible.”

It is alleged that some of the police officers were drunk however a police case has been opened.
