Three killed in mass shooting

POLICE are investigating a triple murder after men were gunned down in Harare on Thursday night.

The deadly attack saw two other males wounded and comes after another mass shooting took place the night before in New Crossroads, Gugulethu.

Colonel Andrè Traut said of the Harare incident that police arrived at the scene in Ntlazane Road at around 10pm where they found the three victims’ bodies full of gunshot wounds.

He reported: “A police investigation is under way following a shooting incident in Harare late [Thursday] night that claimed the lives of three men aged 29, 30, and 43. 

“Detectives from the Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Unit are pursuing leads that could assist in identifying and locating the suspects responsible for the triple murder.

“At approximately 10pm, SAPS members were alerted to the scene in Ntlazane Road, where the bodies of the victims were discovered with multiple gunshot wounds.

“The motive for the attack is yet to be determined, and all investigative avenues are being explored to uncover the circumstances surrounding the incident.”

Wednesday night’s incident in Moletsane Street in Gugs also claimed the lives of three men and left two others wounded.
