POLICE raided a house in Grassy Park to reclaim their eie goed, among other things.
Members attached to Operation Shanela II arrested a 42-year-old man who was in possession of the hele drugs, alcohol and police equipment.
A statement released by Western Cape police read: “The determination by the members of Western Cape police to rid our streets of drugs led to the arrest of a 42-year-old man on Wednesday at about 6pm.
“The members attached to Operation Shanela II acted on information that firearms and drugs are being stored at a premises in Chukura Road, Sondela informal settlement Pumlani, Grassy Park. “The members immediately operationalised the information and upon arrival at the identified address, found an imitation firearm, 52 small sachets of dagga, 11 medium sachets of dagga, one large plastic bag of dagga, different types of alcohol ciders and an undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be the proceeds of criminal activities.
“The 42-year-old male was arrested for possession of police equipment (a belt and pepper spray canister), dealing in drugs as well as dealing in liquor
“He was scheduled to appear in the Wynberg Magistrates’ court today on the mentioned charges.”
