Your guide on how to get to the DHL Stadium when the Boks tackle the Aussies on Saturday

This game at the DHL Stadium will be the first test match between South Africa and Australia in Cape Town since 2014.

DIE ding gaan ruk innie Mother City tomorrow when South Africa’s rugby team the Springboks tackle the Wallabies from Australia in the Rugby Championship at DHL Stadium at 5.10pm.

Here we have compiled a guide on how to get to the DHL Stadium on game day. 

The City of Cape Town will also be availing MyCiTi shuttle for free that will start operating from 11.30am from the Bellville Velodrome, Century City, the CTICC, Thibault Square, and the Civic Centre and return services will operate until 9.30pm. 

Fans can also take a bus from the Century City Steelbridge e-Parking, off Century Boulevard, from 11.30am.

Limited free parking bays are available for ticket holders on a first-come, first-served basis. The area will be monitored by security; however, parking is at the owner’s risk. Paid parking is also available at the mall.

In Bellville, the MyCiTi shuttle will operate from the Bellville Velodrome, where parking will be available for spectators. The Park and Ride will start from 11.30am and operate until 9.30pm after the game. 

At the CTICC, the shuttle will operate from the City Sightseeing bus stop near Entrance 3 on Walter Sisulu Avenue.

For those using the bus from the CTICC or the Civic Centre, on-street parking is free in the central business district (CBD) from 1pm.

Paid parking will be available at the Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at the Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard. A designated e-hailing drop-off and pick-up area will be located at P13 on Green Point Main Road, between York Road and Wigtown Road.

Metrorail will be running additional trains to Cape Town Station from all its operating lines. Trains will operate between 11am and 10pm at a cost of R20 for a return ticket.

Spectators can then hop on a free MyCiTi at the Civic Centre and Thibault Square or take the FanWalk to the Green Point Precinct.
