A TAFELSIG dad is devastated after the body of his 29-year-old daughter was found stabbed, half naked and dumped at the Wolfgat Nature Reserve on Thursday morning.

According to Francois Swartz, his dogter Clare Swartz, who is a mother of one, was walking with her boyfriend at around in the small hours of the night to get drugs when they got attacked by five men.

Clare sustained multiple stab wounds to the neck.

Her boyfriend was stabbed multiple times by the five men and managed to get away on foot and was later found at a medical facility nearby.

Francois, who made his way to the scene yesterday, said this tragedy has left him devastated as he last saw his daughter two months ago.

He told the Daily Voice: “I was alerted about the incident around 11am. I have not seen her in two months because she lived with her boyfriend at his mother’s house. I am not entirely sure what happened but I think she and her boyfriend went to get drugs when they were attacked.

"I saw a picture of her body on Facebook where she is lying in a panty and bra so I assume she was maybe raped and had stab wounds to the neck.

"It is a huge loss because she has one son but we leave it in God’s hands and trust that she is in peace now.”

Police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Malcolm Pojie said Clare’s body was found around 11am by a passerby.

Pojie explained: “Mitchell’s Plain SAPS registered a murder case for further investigation following the discovery of the body of a 29-year-old female in the bushes at Wolfgat Nature Reserve earlier today, Thursday, 21 August 2025 at about 11am.

"Members were alerted by a passer-by who showed them the location of the deceased who succumbed to multiple stab wounds to the neck. She was declared deceased by medical personnel on the scene.

"Preliminary investigation reveals that the deceased and her boyfriend were last seen in Meagan Street at about 2am when they were accosted by a group of about five males who allegedly confronted them and started to stab the boyfriend who fled the scene on foot.

"He was later traced at a nearby medical facility where he was admitted for treatment. The suspects are yet to be arrested.”
