“I was going to pick her up the Sunday afternoon but in the morning, I got a message to say that my mother is gone and is no longer at my cousin’s house.
“When we got there, we were told that my mother left around 3am without saying anything. “But knowing my mother, she would never leave that time of the morning and she did not have on her shoes, a warm jacket, cap, purse or cigarettes. She was on medication because she has hypertension and diabetes.”
“They said a window was also open, maybe she jumped through the window, I said she can’t even lift her legs.”
Shireen said on the evening of 16 November 2025, they got the bad news that their mother’s body had been found dumped in an open field in Waarburgh Road.
“We are still waiting on the results of the autopsy to determine the cause of death.
“The children were playing when they found the body and informed their parents.
“She was lying in her bra and pants and her top was lying next to her. She had marks on her body and her face was blue.”
“Before she was found, my sister went to check the same spot again in the morning and saw nothing.
