DAD KILLED IN HORROR EISLEBEN CRASH

A Mitchells Plain mother has been left shattered after her son Angelo Adams was ripped in half while on his way to work in a gruesome multi-vehicle accident in Eisleben Road, Mitchells Plain on Wednesday afternoon.

Mom Sarah Adams said that the 35-year-old father of four was on his way to work the late shift when he was killed by a speeding BMW.

Images and videos of the gruesome scene flooded social media and crime groups on Wednesday. 

It shows the driver speeding into oncoming traffic causing a multi collision and leaving drivers and passengers with multiple injuries and hospitalised. 

A gruesome video also shows the body of Angelo, ripped in two by the waist and laying metres apart, while the injured victims are being attended to on the scene.

The driver survived the crash and police spokesperson Sergeant Wesley Twigg confirmed that Lentegeur police registered culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving cases for investigation following the accident in Eisleben Road which claimed the life of an adult male. 

Twigg reported: “According to reports the driver of a BMW drove on the wrong side of the road and collided with the pedestrian. The pedestrian was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel.

“The driver of the BMW crashed into four other vehicles injuring the drivers and their passengers which include children. The injured victims including the driver of the BMW were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation and an arrest is yet to be made.

Public relations officer for the Lentegeur Community Police Forum Shahiem van Nelson added: “As the Lentegeur CPF we call on the police to speed up the investigation into this terrible tragedy and if there's any proof of negligence or reckless driving then the person(s) must be held accountable and brought be court to face the consequences of his actions.”
