THE family of Jacques Yman is seeking answers surrounding his death after his lifeless body was found with a gunshot wound to his head on Tuesday morning in Hanover Park.
The 30-year-old father of two was gunned down in Athwood Walk, Hanover Park, around 5am.
A relative, who wants to protect her identity, said that his death has left the family shattered, with his two young daughters longing for their father as Christmas draws nearer.
The family member explained: “We just know that he was on his way home when he was gunned down but we are not sure where he was coming from.
“We got the news at 5.45am when someone came to our house and told my grandmother that Jacques was shot and that they should bring a blanket to the scene.
“He was such a friendly person, not anyone can say anything bad about him and he loved his roller skates.
“He still had on his roller skates this morning when they shot him. He loved helping people and was a handy man washing cars, painting, also an electrician who fixed washing machines.
“He was not involved in any gangsterism, he was innocent and everyone knows him as a friendly person who communicates with everyone.
“We are devastated by this loss. His daughters are still very young - aged around four years and seven years old - and they are heartbroken by this.”
