A HANOVER Park ma claims Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) cops trashed her home and left her four-year-old daughter traumatised after storming their home.
The mother, who cannot be named for safety reasons, told the Daily Voice that the drama unfolded on 14 January after skote were klapping in the area.
Moments later, her four-year-old daughter ran into the house, followed by a boy she didn’t know. And that’s when the AGU officers showed up.
The mom explained: “As she ran into the house, a boy came running, but according to my knowledge he is not a gangster.
“As I was calling the children to come in, this boy stormed in. I still told him that he can’t run in here and with that AGU pulled up.
They came in with their guns and everything, asking: ‘Waar’s jy? Waar’s jy?’.
“They pushed me aside. So I asked if I could go in because my child was alone inside the house, but they didn’t want to hear me out.”
The mom said cops believed the boy who ran into her house had a firearm and proceeded to search the property.
Although her klein dogter later managed to sneak out, the vrou said the cops didn’t care how scared they left the child.
She said: “My daughter was so out of it. At night, she wakes up and looks for me. For a four-year-old, they didn’t care if they traumatised her.
After ’n paar ure, the cops left, but the damage was done.
She said “The empty packets were laying there, they threw the chip boards out of the window, the fridge’s door was off, the couches were turned upside down, the cupboards were moved aside.
“The wall by the sink was demolished. The dirt they threw out.
She added: “And the remarks they were making, ‘die is a lekker tyd om skoon te maak’.
