Dis 'n Juvie ding: Section 2 winners Young Tycoons named Carnival Kings

THE Kaapse Klopse season has come to an end and congratulations are in order to the 2026 Carnival Kings Juvie Boy Entertainers who took the number one spot and reclaimed their title as Section 2 winners.

They finished first in six of the 13 categories on the day, including Klopse Jol.

“You are a champion once again. The mighty JBE are Carnival Kings once again. Congratulations. 

“Why was this one so special to me, to us? Because we silently sat back and took abuse after abuse, hit after hit, attack after attack, and like a professional kickboxer, we took each and every blow and just waited for the right moment to strike.

Today's life, social media plays a huge role in society and day in, day out, fake profiles made remarks about our team. Our gear was laughed at. Our voorsmakie jol went viral and we were called "boring".

“Did we retaliate? No. We took it on the chin. Like the gentlemen and ladies we are. All the while we kept sharpening our focus, improving our strengths. 

“We had one goal in mind. In fact, we need to say thank you to all the negativity because it made us stronger. 

I said it before, but on the 5th, in the tunnel, as we were about to start jolling and the jinglepak started singing Jaloes Bokkie. I knew this carnival is ours, because we wanted it. We enjoyed ourselves, we had fun, we kept the tradition alive, but we wanted it.
