ANTI-GANG Unit (AGU) cops are "under fire" after a woman claimed they stormed her home, trashed her belongings and allegedly assaulted her boyfriend and his friends during a raid in Kensington.

The woman, who cannot be named, told the Daily Voice that when the incident occurred on 28 January, she was at her boyfriend’s sister’s house.

She explains: “My aunt phoned me to say that my house is standing open, but I thought it couldn’t be because my boyfriend was at home with two other friends.

“So she said that the police was at my house and took the guys and a blue bag with them. I was quite confused as to what was in the bag, but then it came to mind that we are weed smokers in this house.”

When she arrived, she found that her jar and other smoking accessories were taken, including a few pille that she rolled the night before.

She added that cops allegedly broke her gate, door, cut her couch open, bed in half, camera wires and trashed her room.

She says: “I was shocked to see what they did in the house, and this is not the first visit I received from them. I saw that our camera power supply box was drenched in fish oil and water.

“Every time they come here for apparent tip-offs, but nothing is being found, why can’t they go to the known problem houses.

This level of destruction is completely unacceptable. If they are searching for something, why not use trained dogs or proper investigative methods instead of wrecking entire households?”

When she went to fetch her boyfriend at the cop shop, she found him and his friends drenched in water after allegedly being tortured.

She explains: “My boyfriend said before they took them, they took them in the put them in our front yard and repeatedly hit them, and the next day it was still blue and swollen."

Police spokesperson Constable Ndakhe Gwala stated that circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation.

Gwala said: “This office confirms that on Wednesday, 04 February 2026, Kensington police registered a case of malicious damage to property following an incident that allegedly occurred at Vliegtuig Avenue.

The complainant added there is nothing wrong with cops doing their jobs, but said it needed to be done the right way.

Her camera system had been damaged after being drenched in fish oil and water.
