Delft police are seeking the assistance of the public to locate a person of interest after a 18 year old woman was repeatedly raped last month by a Congolese during a armed house robbery in the community.
An identikit of one of the suspects has been released to the public and police spokesperson Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi said that the incident occurred on Saturday, 29 March 2025.
Swartbooi reports: “Delft police seek the assistance of the public to trace a person of interest whom they believe can shed light on the circumstances surrounding a house robbery and rape which occurred on Saturday 29 March 2025.
"Reports suggested that the victims, a 46 year old man and a 18 year old female were at their home in Delft when three unknown armed men entered the home and robbed the occupants at gun point.
"One of the suspects, a Congolese foreign national, raped the 18 year old girl multiple times where after they fled the scene with valuables taken from the scene. At the time of the incident the victim was able to memorise the face of one of the suspects, whom she believed she will be able to identify as a person of interest.”
