There is a new voice joining the Kfm 94.5 team from the start of April and it is none other than veteran radio personality Stan Mars.
Stan has been part of the Good Hope FM family for about 15 years and was host for The Big Breakfast Show which allows morning motorists and commuters to forget about the traffic blues.
Popularly known as Uncle Stan by learners, he is beloved by youngsters who got to hear their favourite numbers through their song request before the school drop off.
With close to 30 years of experience, Stan told the Daily Voice that he had a kwaai time at Good Hope FM but being part of the KFM family is a dream come true.
Stan says: “I am very nervous, humble and excited. The move to Primedia’s KFM is massive, but it is something I always wanted to do.
“I am an avid road tripper and whenever I road trip KFM has always been my road trip partner."
Mark your calendars for Sunday, 6 April at 6pm as Stan steps in behind the Kfm microphone for the first time. Stan will debut a new show which will feature popular hits as well as all-time favorites, as he wraps up your weekend and prepares you for the week ahead.
He adds: “I am vrek bang for my first show, but I must just push through. When I started in commercial radio, I started at 6pm to 9pm at P4 (Heart 104.9), so this is the same time slot and it is like going back to basics, so I am very excited.”
Stan will be joining the star-studded line-up of presenters such as the likes of Carl Wastie, Darren Simpson, EB Inglis and Tracey Lange just to name a few.
Station Manager for Kfm 94.5, Hennie Myburgh commented on Stan’s appointment saying: “Stan brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the Western Cape audience.
“His arrival comes at a pivotal moment for Kfm 94.5, as we evolve our programming and strengthen our connection with listeners across the Western Cape and beyond.”
