DELICIOUS: Ultimate French Toast DELICIOUS: Ultimate French Toast
- 3 extra-large eggs
- 100ml cream
- 4 slices Sasko Plus Rosehip and Honeybush Brown Bread
- 2 large/ 4 small bananas
- Butter for frying
- To serve
- Honey
- Cinnamon
- 100g Blueberries
- Whipped Cream
Whisk the eggs and cream together in a bowl.
Halve the bananas lengthways.
Melt a tablespoon of butter in a non-stick frying pan on medium high heat and fry the bananas, turning once, until golden and just softened. Set aside.
Wipe the pan down and place it back on the heat and add a little more butter.
Soak the slices of bread in the egg mixture on both sides for a few seconds before frying in the pan, turning once, until golden brown.
Place two slices of French toast onto each plate, drizzle over a generous amount of honey and top with fried bananas, a sprinkling of cinnamon and blueberries and a dollop of whipped cream.
