I’m baffled by two things at the moment.
One, so called Chelsea fans who are slamming Roman Abramovich and the board for not spending more during the window.
And two, Manchester United fans in Cape Town who are taking the p!ss out of our transfer dealings.
My response is as follows: Does anyone realise that Chelsea have spent around 200 million Euros (over R3 billion)?
And has anyone looked at the quality of players? Obviously not.
Let’s see: Tiemoue Bakayoko – tipped by many as the next Patrick Vieira.
Antonio Rudiger – Germany regular and versatile defender.
Willy Caballero – top quality back-up to Thibaut Courtois.
Davide Zappacosta – Italian international defender with best assist stats in Serie A last season.
Danny Drinkwater – experienced and determined squad player.
TITLE WINNER: Seasoned new addition Danny Drinkwater
Jeez, what more do people want?
Despite the loss of Nemanja Matic, it’s a huge upgrade on our title winning team of last year. OK, it can be argued that the squad is a bit thin considering the amount of fixtures ahead this season.
But, according to sources close to the club, January may well see further additions.
I think y’all forgot that Eden Hazard is on his way back too… best player in the Premier League!
So go hug your momma and worry about your own s***.
It’s amazing what a few wins at the start of the season can do to people, or more specifically, United fans.
Yes guys, you’re looking good, your plan to buy the league over the last few seasons appears to be picking up some steam at last!
Incredibly, United have spent well over half a billion pounds since Alex Ferguson left and have only delivered a single FA Cup?
NO NO NO!
Don’t, don’t tell me about the other k**, Charity Shield, League Cup and Europa.
WE ALL KNOW THEY DON’T COUNT.
We’re talking the biggest club in the world here.
Sir Alex (much respect to him), must be turning in his bottle of whiskey regarding the dismantling of his legacy.
Anyway, good luck, the pressure is on, Jose Mourinho HAS to deliver this season.
MUST DELIVER: United's Jose Mourinho
It was a weekend off, but the action gets off to a bang on Saturday as the lunchtime fixture takes us to Eastlands for the visit of Liverpool.
Massive game, followed by another of equal interest as Arsenal host Bournemouth.
Are we gonna see a strong show from the Gunners, or are the angry wantaway stars gonna play at 50 percent and give us some great Arsenal Fan TV?
The Champions of England have another early test away at Leicester and then United continue their easy run of fixtures at Stoke.
Has the pressure ever been this intense so early in the season or is it just me?
