Ajax Cape Town will not be distracted by off-field developments ahead of their Nedbank Cup clash against TS Sporting at Athlone Stadium tonight.
The club’s coach Andries Ulderink quit last Friday in protest to CEO Ari Efstathiou indefinitely suspending Technical Director Hans Vonk.
And with rumours linking Ajax to former Cape Town City coach Benni McCarthy, the club is not about to speel saam.
Asked about the link, assistant coach Dylan Deane said “no comment”, after making gat by also ruling out the appointment of legendary Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson.

On top of their agenda is getting revenge on TS Sporting after their 1-0 defeat last month in their quest for NFD promotion.
Deane, who has taken charge of the team alongside Calvin Marlin, believes the players have their heads in the right place.
Referencing their 2-2 draw at Free State Stars last weekend, Deane says: “We went away [to the Free State] with [Ulderink] on our minds.
“But the players have adapted well since the coach left.
“They have their focus back. They are driving themselves.”
Turning his attention to their opponents for the clash at Athlone Stadium, Deane reckons they know what to do to get the better of Abantu Bemthetho.
The coach reveals: “In the league match, we were on a fantastic run and against TS, I thought we were a bit flat at home.
“We struggled to open them up. When you are top of the log, everyone wants to beat you. But we got our rhythm back for this big game.”
Meanwhile, in other local football action, Wits host Black Leopards in a PSL 7.30pm showdown.
