Marriage and tennis provide mixed day for Kohlschreiber

German tennis player Philipp Kohlschreiber will

hope his ATP loss to Denis Istomin on Wednesday is not an omen of

things to come - having tasted defeat just hours after his own

wedding.

Kohlschreiber, 34, married his long-term partner Lena in Kitzbuehel,

Austria, before taking to the court at the event in his current

hometown, his management confirmed to dpa.

Uzbekistan's Istomin won the second round clash 5-7, 6-3, 6-1 on the

Kitzbuehel clay against defending champion Kohlschreiber, who is

nonetheless likely to remember the day with fondness.
