With the coronavirus crisis halting sports around the world since March, the Prem is looking to play catch-up and maak klaar with there remaining 92 fixtures.
And they are keen to cram in as many football matches as teams can safely play in the first phase of their return.
With that in mind, they plan to play the first three rounds of matches over the next fortnight.
Kicking off with Aston Villa v Sheffield United and Manchester City v Arsenal on June 17, 32 games will be played in 15 days.
That run will end with City hosting Liverpool in a match that could see Pep Guardiola’s manne give the Reds a guard of honour as Jurgen Klopp’s team are just two wins away from wrapping up a first league title in 30 years for the Merseysiders.
All the fixtures, though, are subject to strict safety requirements being met to stop the spread of Covid-19.
Meanwhile, clubs have been sharpening up ahead of the restart with friendlies.
Arsenal beat Championship side Charlton Athletic 6-0 on Saturday.
Manchester United saw Paul Pogba (ankle) and Marcus Rashford (back) return to action from long-term injuries in an 11 v 11 training match at the weekend and both escaped unscathed.
