ON A HIGH: Wolves ON A HIGH: Wolves

Wolves reached their best Premier League points total (59) on Monday night when they beat

Crystal Palace 2-0.

Goals from Daniel Podence and Jonny moved coach Nuno Espirito Santo’s manne up to sixth in the standings - which will earn them a place in the Europa League second qualifying round.

The boss hailed the team’s progress, saying: “The words of building and improving makes sense.

“We made two more points than last season, so we are improving and I’m happy for that.

“A lot of credit to the players in such a complicated season, with all the issues that happened. The belief of the players is incredible.”

With Wolves still in with a shout for this year’s Europa League title when they face Olympiacos in their last-16 second-leg clash, Espirito Santo knows they have to cement sixth place in their final league game against Chelsea to be sure of European football next season.

He adds: “We have a lot of things to go. A tough game on Sunday, finish the Premier League, and then focus on what’s coming after.”
