Stormers head coach John Dobson has confirmed a 47-man squad for the upcoming Super Rugby Unlocked campaign.

The Stormers will get their season underway against the Lions at Newlands next week, with their final fixture of the competition being against the Sharks in Durban on November 21.

The squad features nine Springboks in captain Siya Kolisi, props Steven Kitshoff and Frans Malherbe, hookers Scarra Ntubeni and Bongi Mbonambi, World Rugby Player of the Year Pieter-Steph du Toit, scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies, flyhalf Damian Willemse and fullback Warrick Gelant.

Former WP age-group star Tim Swiel is included after a period playing his rugby in England.

In addition to the experienced core, U21-eligible stars, wing Angelo Davids, hooker JJ Kotze, flank Marcel Theunissen, flyhalves Kade Wolhuter and Christopher Schreuder and centre Mnombo Zwelendaba are all young talents to look out for.
