HAIR WE GO: Upbeat Phil Foden
Phil Foden says England will all dye their hair to match his blonde top if they win the Euros.
The Manchester City star gave himself a makeover after taking a liking to ex-teammate Sergio Aguero’s hairstyle and now he is using it to boost the gees in the camp.
He says: “I told the team that if we win it [the Euros] they have to get the same haircut as me and they all agreed.
“Hopefully if we win it you will see everyone with the same haircut.
“I think Romania did it [at France 1998] so I would make everyone get the same haircut, which would be funny.”
For that to happen, second-placed England must step up when they face log leaders Czech Republic at Wembley tonight (9pm), with the winner finishing top of Group D.
A draw will be enough to take both through, but losing will also see them go through should Croatia and Scotland play to a draw in the other fixture or one of them gets a 1-0 win.
Even with England fancied to make the last 16, boss Gareth Southgate is set to play skipper Harry Kane, who has looked sluggish at the tournament so far.
Asked if Kane will play tonight, Southgate says: “You can assume that, I don’t mind giving you that.”
He adds: “He’s our most important player, there’s no doubt about that.”
Meanwhile, Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell are isolating after the Chelsea pair came into contact with Scotland club mate Billy Gilmour, who has tested positive for Covid-19.
