Absolute Euroes: West Ham

Jarrod Bowen went mal after snatching a dramatic 90th-minute winner to clinch West Ham's first major European trophy in 58 years.

Speaking to BT Sports after Wednesday night’s 2-1 win over Fiorentina in Prague, the England winger says: “I’m so buzzing.

“We’re just going to go mad I think. There was one more chance and we won it.”

Earlier, Said Benrahma had given the Hammers the lead in the 62nd minute from the penalty spot, but the Italians hit back through Giacomo Bonaventura just five minutes later before the late drama.

Captain Declan Rice hailed coach David Moyes for leading the team to their first trophy since the 1980 FA Cup and first major title of the boss’s career.

He adds: “If you actually look at his time at this club, he’s saved us twice, got us into Europe two years in a row and now he's won this. I think he's up there as West Ham’s best ever manager now.”
