THE last time the Stormers’ visited Harlequins’ Stoop they suffered a helse 53-16 defeat to their hosts.

That was last year and while it wasn’t that long ago, A LOT has changed since then.

When director of rugby John Dobson’s troepe return to Twickenham Stoop this Sunday at 3pm, they will do so vol selfvertroue despite suffering a pak slae there in 2025.

The reason for that is that the Stormers are currently unbeaten in all competitions this season. With two matches won out of two in the Champions Cup, Dobson and his team are out to make it three from three.

And while - like last year - they are again planning on taking the field minus some of their big names, the Stormers have a lot more depth than what they had last season.

Just ask Harlequins coach Jason Gilmore who said: “When we played against them last year, they rested a few boys and had injuries.

“We are expecting a strong squad, even if they

rest a few players; they’ve got the depth to put out a [strong] team.

“You are not going to have that [unbeaten] record [in 10 matches] with a squad that doesn’t have depth.”

Dobson is of the same opinion and added of their quest in England: “We worked out, if we want to host a playoff, we have to get a point at least [against Harlequins].

“If you go for a point you might as well go for the win…”

In other Champions Cup games involving South African teams, the Bulls host Bristol Bears at 3pm tomorrow, while the Sharks are away to Sale Sharks in a 7.30pm clash.

The Lions host Lyon tomorrow at 5.15pm in the Challenge Cup, while the Cheetahs host Ulster on Sunday at 5.15pm in the same competition.
