BATTLE: Viktor Gyokeres, left, and Radu Dragusin

HELLO my good football people, I trust all is well your side… I was busy writing this while watching the north London derby, 75th minute, Arsenal 3-1 up and what a massive disappointment.
I was looking forward to this one all weekend. Would Spurs’ “new manager bounce” create a surprise? Could last week’s incredible come back by Wolves cause nerves in the Arsenal camp? I mean this is what we were all fantasizing about, especially after Manchester City saw off Newcastle at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Was it to be? Absolutely f*****g not! Spurs looked like a Sunday league team, somehow grabbing an early equaliser after some sloppy Declan Rice work. But otherwise they were absolutely weak. Pretending here and there to put in extra heart with a couple of sliding tackles, but they had no quality, no real threat and were all over the place at the back.
Look, Spurs aren’t going to be relegated... I really don’t think so. They have a little cushion and it just doesn’t make sense when you think about it (Champions League team and incredible stadium), but the danger is genuinely real. They have only won twice at home this season!
Tottenham travel to Craven Cottage this Sunday which again feels like a must win to stop the rot! Don’t get me wrong, from my perspective, Arsenal bottling the Premier League title is followed very closely by Spurs going down in my fantasy world.
PRESSURE: Reece James, right, and Chelsea will have to step up

Anyway, I shouldn’t talk too soon as on the same day Spurs go to Fulham, Chelsea go to the Emirates Stadium! After the Blues’ “performance” against Burnley on Saturday who knows what will happen. It’ll be interesting, two tight League Cup semis and a solid 1-1 draw at
Stamford Bridge in the league so far this season against Arsenal.
Chelsea do tend to lift themselves for this one. But let’s face it, the Gunners are generally streets ahead, yeah a couple of unexpected results along the way this season, but they’ve easily been the best team in England so far.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s City remain very much in contention… Amazing how three weeks ago the Gunners were on the verge of going nine points clear and surely wrapping the title up. Only to be completely pegged back… It’s game on, just a shame City still cannot find rhythm and consistency.
The only real hope the rest of us have (that’s everyone in the world who doesn’t support Arsenal) is a look at their fixture list. City’s appears kinder on paper, and what with Champions League, FA Cup and the League Cup final to play, anything can happen.
Elsewhere, as (easily) predicted, Aston Villa have fallen away from any chance of a title challenge. I won’t be surprised if they’re caught by the chasing pack.
It’s so hard to call the top five and bottom three, well who is going down with the current bottom two. I am interested to hear your predictions and why? I’m going to go for Nottingham Forest to join Burnley and Wolves (bottom three), but I just can’t call the top five.
Villa will probably just squeeze it, with either Chelsea, Manchester United or Liverpool missing out. I tell you what though, I haven’t seen a worse Liverpool outing all season, okay they won in the end against Forest (somehow), but it was horrible to watch.
Penned into their half for large parts of the game, continuously losing the ball and occasionally bursting forward with absolutely no end product. I can’t see Arne Slot staying on at the club next season. He really has been the architect of one of the biggest defending champion fall offs in history.
It’s been a funny old season, so hard to predict. Was Michael Carrick’s opening few fixtures at United a positive “blip”? Ladies and gents, whoever you support, keep the faith! Even if you know you’re k*k like us!
Chat next week, bye bye.
