Bulls attack coach Chris Rossouw described their 56-20 defeat to the Chiefs as an aberration and hoped to revive their form from before their bye weekend.

The Pretoria franchise suffered a double blow with the embarrassing blow relegating them from the top spot to fourth place in the South African Conference.

And Rossouw says: “It is still early days and it is said there are three ‘thunderbolts’ in a season so that was our first one.

“We had a deep and honest chat from [coach] Pote Human after the game but we try to focus on the processes and things we need to change to be effective.”

Facing the Sharks on Saturday, Rossouw believes it’s time to press the reset button in their squad.

He explains: “If there was any complacency I think this game sorted it out and we need to get back to zero.”

For the clash, the Bulls have brought back Embrose Papier to the starting XV in place of Ivan van Zyl.
