THE Stormers yesterday announced the release of vrag giftige players from their roster ahead of next season.
Among those that were given a “farewell speech” was Springbok flyhalf Manie Libbok.
The Cape franchise posted a video on X captioned: “Thanks for all you gave us. Always a part of us.”
The video started with retired veteran prop Brok Harris giving a thumbs-up, before showing scrumhalf Herschel Jantjies, 29, who is on his way to further his career in France and then flipped over to fellow scrumhalf Paul de Wet, also 29, who is on his way to the Bulls.
Libbok, 27, was the next man shown; he is believed to be on his way to Japan.
Hooker Joseph Dweba, a powerhouse in the middle of the front row, is also on his way out. The 29-year-old signed for Exeter Chiefs in England.
In the back three, winger Angelo Davids, 25, is also on his way out, after he signed for the Lions and will be joined heading through the exit door by Englishman Ben Loader.
Clayton Blommetjies could already be seen in the colours of the Cheetahs this year, while Dave Ewers hung up his boots.
The video concluded with a message reading: “Always a part of us.”
