ON SATURDAY at 3pm, captain Siya Kolisi and his Springboks will be 80 minutes away from history when they tackle Argentina in a Rugby Championship Test match at Twickenham.

No South African span has ever successfully defended their Rugby Championship title.

But Kolisi and his manskappe find themselves in pole position, just needing a win to further etch their names as one of the greatest rugby teams of all time.

Having won back-to-back World Cups, success on Saturday could be seen as a final frontier for the Boks when it comes to their southern-hemisphere rivalry with the All Blacks, Wallabies and Pumas.

However, back-to-back World Cup hero Damian de Allende warns that just thinking they can rock up and klap Argentina – like they did in last week’s 67-30 win – will be a moerse fout.

De Allende wysed: “Argentina will come out fighting. They may not be able to win the competition anymore, but they defeated New Zealand, Australia and the British & Irish Lions this year already, so we need to stay focused on the task at hand to get the desired result.”

Although De Allende says he is excited to learn that a vrag Bok fans are expected to be at Twickenham to witness them make history, he does not think that gives them home-ground advantage.

He added: “We’ve played here a few times, and although it’s neutral ground for both teams, we are expecting Argentina to have a good support base as well, so it’s going to be a proper Test.

“That said, we are really looking forward to the match. I think more than 60 000 tickets have been sold, so it’s going to be an incredible atmosphere.”
