LOAD OF BULL: Nizaam Carr, right LOAD OF BULL: Nizaam Carr, right
Jake White and his Bulls snapped up another ex-Stormers star when they announced the signing of Nizaam Carr over the weekend.
Carr, who left the Mother City in 2018 for Wasps in England, has now taken the wrong turn-off on his return to South Africa.
And instead of entertaining fans in Cape Town, the Mitchells Plain ace will call
Loftus Versfeld his new home.
Carr is not the only Capetonian signed by White during the coronavirus lockdown
period, with former Western Province fullback Gio Aplon and No.8 Duane Vermeulen also making a draai up north.
They also added some young guns from the Mother City, but it’s the addition of Carr that has left a big sting in die harte of Kaapse fans.
Of his new signing, White says: “Nizaam needs little introduction and I’m happy that he has decided to continue his career with the Bulls.
“His ability to perform under pressure will only benefit the franchise while his experience will be used to mentor the younger loose forwards in the squad as well.
“He has done well in England and it is great to have his talent back on South African soil again.”
