HELLO my good football people, I trust all is well! I’m going to kick off with the Europa League final!

What a scrappy game of football! Okay it’s a second-tier competition, but it was embarrassing.

United could have played for four hours and not scored... same for Spurs, barring the horrible goal that won them the cup, admission to the Champions League, a new lease of life, funds and prestige to make a difference next season!

Jeez, there was so much at stake! I did call it… I believed in Ange Postecoglou and following the “clown” comment last week before the game, I thought “that’s it, Tottenham are definitely going to win it”.

It was a disrespectful accusation aimed at him from one of the pack of English gutter journalists who hunt and provoke reaction just to sell a headline.

Spiritualists will call it “karma” and realising his own prophesy, “I always win a trophy in my second season” was just that.

He is a lovely bloke, says it like it is and I hope they either keep him or he says “f**k off” to Spurs chairperson Daniel Levy, drops the mic and slams the door shut.

Meanwhile, the saving of Tottenham was the further dismantling of the Manchester United empire.

I was at Ricky van Wyk’s Red Devils garage museum. What an amazing collection of memorabilia! A life-long dedicated fan whose final bit of hope looked absolutely sucked out of him.

The trajectory post-Sir Alex Ferguson was gradually declining… this season has been a supersonic dive to football hell.

The world’s biggest club floundering in a well of misery, left hoping the Glazer brothers and Sir Jim Ratcliffe will turn around their fortunes. I’d have more faith in the Guptas looking after the South Africa’s treasury to be honest. So what now? Does Ruben Amorim resign? Is it ultimately his responsibility?

I was quite surprised chatting to United fans last week who unanimously support him? That’s not the usual response these days. I mean look at Mikel Arteta, great season (no trophy), but competed right at the top level and many Gunners fans want to see the back of him.

I agree with those United fans… he should be given a chance next season, a rebuild, bringing in his own players. The problem of course is funds and no European football.

It’s a desperate situation and the worry of course is that it could get worse. I personally still believe this extraordinary dip and dive which has been going on for 13 years has reached its lowest point.

And with the likes of Alejandro Garnacho making ill-timed accusations about his own issues at the club, it feels like big change is about to happen.

Meanwhile, alas, the end of another season…Well done to Liverpool, by far the best team. No Scouser will care about what all of us haters are saying.

What’s important is that they’ve equalled United’s league title win record of 20. As the commentator said at full time “Reds back on their perch” in reference to Ferguson’s famous quote.

Elsewhere, it was a tense final day for the pack chasing the last three Champions League places. Newcastle got a squeeze, Aston Villa threw it away, Nottingham Forest didn’t have the steam, Manchester City strolled it and Chelsea made it easy!

Huge for the Blues who now have the chance to adjust the squad, get rid of some dead wood and buy a couple of experienced “winners” to bolster their young squad…

As it is for the Geordies who have struggled to assert themselves in the transfer market. Last but not least, welcome back to the Premier League to Sunderland!

Oh well, that leaves us with one game!  Real Betis v Chelsea in the Conference League final tomorrow night. I’m sure you’ll all be rooting for the Blues to become the only team in England to win everything! Haha, come on you Blues. Chat next week.
