CAPE Town City are appealing to their 12th man to help them maintain their PSL Premiership status.

The Kapenaars kick off their PSL promotion/ relegation campaign against Orbit College at Cape Town Stadium tomorrow at 3pm.

Orbit have already played their first match in the three-team league, playing to a goalless draw with Casric Stars earlier in the week.

As the team looking to hold onto their big-league dream, while the other teams are looking to gain promotion from the National First Division, Cape Town City coach Diogo Peral said via the club’s X page earlier in the week: “Now is the time for us to stand together. Players, staff, supporters, everyone.”

City indeed need all kragte they can get after a poor season, with the club again calling on their fans to stiek uit and help them, writing on social media yesterday: “We’re heading into the first game of the play-offs on Saturday and we need you with us…

“Let’s fight for our place. Together.”

Their opponents, Orbit College, feel they have nothing to lose ahead of the clash - which makes them a dangerous prospect.

Coach Pogiso Makhoye says: “Cape Town City knows what is at stake, so we will just go there and enjoy ourselves. If we win, it’s fine, and if we don’t, we will have gained experience.

“It’s our first time in the promotional playoffs. We’re here to learn, but if we can win it, it will be a bonus for us.

“We wanted to be here and that motivated us. Everything has changed because it's our first time playing at this level.”
