Cape Town City have added another attacking option as they target a maiden PSL title this season.
City unveiled Dutch winger Bernio Jordan Enzo Verhagen on Saturday after signing the forward from Moldovan club Dinamo Tiraspol.
The 25-year-old will compete with fan favourite Craig Martin for a spot on City’s right wing.
Born in Suriname, a Dutch territory, Verhagen started his football education at Willem II, before joining SC Den Dungen and moving on to Moldova.
Verhagen joins Abbubaker Mobara and Tashreeq Morris as the new manne in Benni McCarthy’s squad ahead of the new season.

McCarthy is hoping that the Dutchman is not the last, having revealed that he wants defensive depth to compete with the likes of Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, Wits and Kaizer Chiefs for the title.
The coach has named Robyn Johannes and Justice Chabalala as the players he wants to bolster his backline with stalwart Taariq Fielies expected to be out for the opening six months of the season.
Business will have to be done soon or City will have to go into Saturday’s PSL opener at Baroka with only Keith Groenewald and Keanu Cupido as the only fit centrebacks.
