THE Premier League returns to our TV screens on Tuesday with Nottingham Forest hosting Manchester United being one of the big games.
While 13th placed United’s last match was on March 16 when they beat Leicester 3-0, Forest made history at the weekend when they beat Brighton on penalties to secure the club its first FA Cup semi-finals in 34 years.
Goalkeeper Matz Sels and midfielder Ryan Yates proved to be Forest heroes as they knocked out Brighton 4-3 in a penalty shootout after the game finished goalless following extra time at the Amex Stadium.
Belgian Sels saved successive spot-kicks from Brighton duo Jack Hinshelwood and Diego Gomez, while captain Yates scored the decisive penalty for the visitors to send them to Wembley.
Of the historic moment, Nuno tells the club’s website: “We are so happy, all of us. It was a dream seeing our fans like that. There is nothing better.
“In terms of the performance I think the boys did really well, really well. We controlled the midfield and I think we were dominant against a team that is difficult to control and credit to the team for that.
“To win is a huge moment for all of us and especially Ryan Yates, he’s a one club man, club captain.”
He then warns: “But our attentions now turn to [Manchester United on] Tuesday.”
While Nuno, whose Forest are in third place on the log, are looking to book their place in next season’s Champions League, his Portuguese compatriot Ruben Amorim is looking to improve his club’s league position.
