Sevens superstar Rosko Specman is believed to be on his way to the Stormers for a short two-week Rainbow Cup SA loan deal.
According to Rapport, the 32-year-old Cheetahs wing will join the Stormers this week – in time for their top-of-the-table clash against the Bulls at Loftus Versfeld.
With Springbok coach Jacques Nienaber naming an extended squad of 45 players for the two Tests against Georgia and the visit from the British and Irish Lions, it is believed that the Bok bosses want Specman to get some valuable game time.
With the Cheetahs frozen out of European action, they played their first game of the new season against an Invitational side in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
And with Specman apparently in the Bokke’s planne, the Stormers have apparently opened their door to the Blitzbok.
With Rainbow Cup SA having had a bye this weekend, the Bulls and Stormers go head to head for top spot this Friday.
Currently in pole position with 15 points, the Bulls lost to the last-placed Lions before the bye week, while the Stormers won back-to-back games on the road against the Lions and the Sharks respectively.
