Cape Town City playmaker Mpho Makola expects a tough clash on Friday evening with the chance to leapfrog opponents Maritzburg United.
City can move up to sixth place in the PSL table on the last day of January on the back of three wins this month, having started 2020 rock bottom of the log.
And against former City coach Eric Tinkler’s well-organised KZN hosts, Makola warns his manne to maintain their focus on the job at hand.
Makola says: “It’s going to be a very difficult game for us.
“But we really do have a great and hardworking squad that get a positive result in Maritzburg.
“I also think the game will be decided in midfield. They have a very solid midfield that dictates the tempo of the game and they really do feed of each other.

“But we also have a very mobile, dedicated and extremely talented midfield that can outwork any opposition on any day.”
