After a short-lived Nedbank Cup run, Stellenbosch are looking to get back on track in the PSL, starting against SuperSport United at Cape Town Stadium on Friday night.
Just four points above the relegation zone on 24 points and with nine games left in the league campaign, last year’s NFD champions are desperate to maintain their top-flight status.
And coach Steve Barker believes that to realise that dream, 34 log points is a target they must achieve.
He reckons: “Our goal is to reach 33 points and from there we can set new targets.
“It’s so tight at the moment that I could also say that we’re three points away from eighth you know? So, there are positives depending how you look at it.
“Finishing in the top eight has always been a desire of ours.”
